Language Assistance

Language is one of the most immediate and challenging barriers for immigrants and refugees. Our language assistance services are designed to promote confidence, connection, and independence.

  • Interpretation and Translation: We provide trained interpreters for appointments in healthcare, legal, school, and government settings. We also offer document translation services for important paperwork like birth certificates, job applications, and legal forms.

  • ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes: We organize community-based English language classes focused on practical communication skills needed in daily life—shopping, transportation, work, and social situations.

  • Conversational Practice Groups: Volunteers and native English speakers guide informal gatherings that help newcomers improve their speaking skills in a friendly, low-pressure environment.
